Cuttings & Fruit

We have a variety of cuttings and fruit for sale. Dragon Fruit start flowering in December with fruit available from January to May. Cuttings are available for most of our varieties and can either be freshly cut or potted. Dragon Fruit cuttings are very hardy and can last for weeks unplanted provided they are stored in a dark cool place. The fruit, like most fresh fruit, are best eaten fresh but these too can last for up to two weeks refrigerated. They also keep well when cut and frozen. Dragon Fruit sweetness can vary depending on the time of year, nutritional levels, maturity of the plant and the numbered crop of the season

There are two plant types: Self FERTILE and self STERILE.
Self FERTILE: Plants that are SF can be pollinated with their own pollen and usually do not require hand pollination. Fruit will set naturally with a very high percentage rate.
Self STERILE: Plants that are SS have to be pollinated with the pollen from another plant. This is accomplished by hand pollination using a fine paint brush. Cross pollination between varieties is preferred but the same variety can be used. However, make sure it is a different plant that you use.

We are happy to post cuttings or fruit if required. Postage rates are based on weight and destination postcode. All products are carefully packaged to prevent damage to the cutting or fruit.
